Same-day virtual care: what to expect

Same-day virtual care is available to members whose medical group is Sharp Rees-Stealy Medical Group or Sharp Community Medical Group. You can find your plan medical group on the front of your Sharp Health Plan member ID card or by logging in to your Sharp Health Plan online account.

What you’ll pay:

  • Sharp Rees-Stealy: You pay your regular primary care copay.
  • Sharp Community Medical Group: You pay based on your urgent care benefits. This may be a copay, deductible or coinsurance, depending on your plan. Your cost is confirmed when you check in. Your virtual care visits are offered by Marque Medical.

For step-by-step instructions on how to schedule an appointment, visit Sharp’s website.

Urgent care: what to expect

For the best experience — and to avoid paying more — it’s important to visit an urgent care in your plan medical group. You can find your plan medical group on the front of your Sharp Health Plan member ID card or by logging in to your Sharp Health Plan online account.

Visit Sharp’s website to view urgent care locations and filter by your plan medical group.

If you’re outside your plan service area, you can visit any urgent care center. After your visit, your primary care doctor may want to see you when you return.

Emergency care: what to expect

Emergency rooms are equipped and staffed to handle complex and critical care needs.

If you’re experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 or visit the nearest emergency room.

When it’s safe and you have a choice, choosing a Sharp emergency room can offer added benefits, like:

  • Less chance of being transferred: In-network care means you’re less likely to be sent to another hospital.
  • Connected care: Your emergency room doctor can easily access your medical history and share updates with your other Sharp doctors.
  • Easier follow-up care: Referrals, test results and next steps stay within the same care network – making follow-up simpler.
