4 tools to fight burnout at work

Win the battle with these resources.

Employees are struggling with their mental health at work, and they're looking for support from their employers. Seven out of 10 employees say they're stressed about the state of the world, according to the 2026 NAMI-Ipsos Workplace Mental Health Poll. What's more, only 54% feel their company prioritizes mental health. May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and there's no better time to share these resources with your employees.

1

Find a behavioral health provider — no referral needed.

Employees need your help to find information about their mental health benefits. More than 50% of employees said they didn't receive training about their workplace's mental health resources, the poll reports.

As Sharp Health Plan members, your employees can get behavioral health services without a referral for outpatient therapy with a provider in their network. We partner with OptumHealth Behavioral Solutions of California (Optum Behavioral Health) to give employees access to thousands of providers, virtual mental health care and personalized digital tools.

Mental health tools boost workplace culture

Your employees have access to a variety of resources; they just need to know how to find them. Knowledge sharing and support at every level of your organization is key. The poll notes:

  • Managers who are equipped with resources feel more prepared to help their teams, have greater trust in leadership, and have less burnout.
  • When you train managers and employees on mental health, they feel more cared about by leadership and management.
