In a life or limb threatening emergency, go to the nearest hospital. Emergency room visits that are not medical emergencies will not be covered. Sharp Health Plan must approve any recommended follow-up care.

Non-emergency services

Urgent care

Services are covered the same as when you're home. Ask the urgent care center to bill Sharp Health Plan; the claims address is on the back of your member ID card. Some non-contracted facilities may not be willing to bill Sharp Health Plan. In those cases, you can pay for the service, then fill out and submit our reimbursement form.

CVS MinuteClinic icon

MinuteClinic®

Located in select CVS Pharmacy® stores, MinuteClinics are available for walk-in appointments. Most services will require you to pay the same amount as your PCP copay, while flu shots will have a $0 copay.

After-hours nurse advice

Registered nurses are available through Sharp Nurse Connection® after hours and on weekends. They can talk with you about an illness or injury, help you decide where to seek care and offer advice on any of your health concerns.

Call 1-800-359-2002, 5 pm to 8 am, Monday to Friday and 24 hours on weekends.
