Sharp Health Plan is pleased to offer direct deposit to providers for claims payments. Through this service, known as Electronic Funds Transfer or EFT, providers can have payments deposited directly into their designated checking or savings account.

Some advantages of direct deposit include:

  • Peace of mind: Payments will be in your account without delay.
  • Security: EFT eliminates the possibility of lost or stolen checks.
  • Time-saving: No more trips to the bank to deposit your check.

Electronic payments will be posted to your account within two (2) days of payment processing. If you are currently receiving paper Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) with your checks, you will continue to receive EOBs through the mail. The payment line on the EOB will indicate that the payment was made through EFT.

If you are interested in participating in EFT for your claims payments, complete the EFT Authorization Agreement form* and mail it, along with a voided check or savings deposit slip, to:

More information on the EFT process can be found in the EFT Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ). If you have any other questions about EFT or electronic data interchange (EDI), please email shp.edisupport@sharp.com.
