Losing a loved one is never easy. When it comes to handling your loved one’s affairs, it can be difficult to know where to start. We are here to support you through this time by making it as easy as possible for you to update their Sharp Health
Plan account information, and by connecting you with additional support from Sharp HealthCare if you need it.
When a Sharp Health Plan member passes away, you will need to contact whoever they enrolled in benefits with to update their account information.
*Please note: We want to make sure that any dependents can keep their same access to care. If a loved one was the subscriber of an account, please reach out to us within 60 days of your loved one’s passing so that we can assist you. Dependents will have to sign up for new coverage.
Loss can feel lonely, but you don’t have to face it alone. Bereavement support services help those grieving to learn effective ways to cope with their grief and loss, and return to a focus on living. At Sharp HospiceCare,
their mission is to provide bereavement support in a respectful, dignified manner for those working through the grief process.
Bereavement services are free for Sharp HospiceCare families for up to 13 months after the death of a loved one. Community services are also available for those who haven’t used Sharp HospiceCare. To learn more about Sharp HospiceCare services,
or to speak to a bereavement coordinator, call 1-619-667-1900.
