Welcome Home®

As San Diego’s only locally based commercial health plan, we live, work and play in the same neighborhoods as you.

We’re committed to being a leader in San Diego, and that commitment doesn’t end with our members. We love our vibrant and diverse communities, and we do all we can to be a good neighbor. Through financial contributions and volunteer work, Sharp Health Plan supports community programs dedicated to improving the health and well-being of all San Diegans.

Here are just a few of our valued community partners.

2-1-1 San Diego

2-1-1 San Diego

2-1-1 connects San Diegans to community-wide service organizations that focus on health, food, housing, disaster, veterans, and other specialized needs, through its free 24-hour confidential phone service in over 200 languages, as well as a searchable online database.

The Chicano Federation

Chicano Federation

Chicano Federation’s mission is to invest in underserved communities through programs that promote self-sufficiency. They work to provide early childhood education, nutrition and affordable housing to families across San Diego.

San Diego Food Bank

The Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank

The San Diego Food Bank provides nutritious food to people in need, advocates for the hungry, and educates the public about hunger-related issues. Last year, the Food Bank distributed 28 million pounds of food, and on average, served 350,000 people per month in our county.

In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Food Bank’s distribution programs, including the Super Pantry Program, the Emergency Food Assistance Program and the Neighborhood Food Distribution Program, continue to serve those in need during this crisis.
