Health care reform update

In March 2010, Congress passed and the President signed into law the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), often referred to as health care reform. Sharp Health Plan will incorporate required health care reform benefit and underwriting changes beginning with renewals for effective dates of October 1, 2010. These changes will affect all employers.

At Sharp Health Plan, we are committed to making your renewal process as simple as possible. That's why we've streamlined our renewal package and provided answers to frequently asked questions about health care reform. As always, you can contact your Sharp Health Plan Account Manager with any additional questions you may have.

Managing your business online

Manage your employees' benefits with our online portal, SharpConnect. Our online services make your job easier, from managing an employee’s enrollment to reviewing your payment history, all within a secure environment. After registration, you can access online enrollment (including checking eligibility, adding new members, and submitting ongoing enrollment transactions), print temporary ID cards and view premium billing history.
