Healthy eating

Use the three steps below to begin your journey to Best Health.


1. Know this
 

Diets are temporary, but healthy eating means making changes you’ll enjoy the rest of your life. Eating a variety of healthy foods is far more satisfying than any restrictive diet. Add in physical activity and you’re even more likely to achieve and maintain a healthy weight!

2. Do this
 

Add fresh fruits, vegetables and whole grains, and cut back on foods high in fat, salt and sugar.

  • Aim for balance. Include each food group—grains, protein foods, vegetables and fruits, and dairy. Listen to your body.
  • Look for variety. Eating a variety of foods each day will help you get all the nutrients you need.
  • Practice moderation. All foods, if eaten in moderation, can be part of healthy eating.
