Referrals for acupuncture and chiropractic care

Members whose coverage includes supplemental acupuncture or chiropractic benefits can visit alternative care providers without a referral in many cases. However, members whose plan is through Covered California or CalChoice should have their PCP submit a Referral Authorization Request Form for acupuncture services.
