New member ID cards

Here’s what you need to know.

As a reminder, we are transitioning to a new pharmacy benefit manager (PBM) effective Jan. 1, 2020. This transition will require us to mail new member ID cards to all Sharp Health Plan members in December.

New member ID cards will include a new, dedicated prescription helpline staffed by pharmacy experts who are available to assist members with questions 24/7. New cards will also include new pharmacy BIN and PCN information, which pharmacists use to process drug claims. Beginning Jan. 1, 2020, members must use their new ID cards when getting care and filling prescriptions.
