Help clients keep their coverage or financial assistance

Remind clients to submit documents to Covered California.

Your clients may need to submit requested documents to Covered California to keep their coverage or financial assistance.

Understanding the Reasonable Opportunity Period

The Reasonable Opportunity Period (ROP) is a 95-day period during which a conditionally eligible client can submit verification documents to resolve inconsistencies in their application.

Enrolled clients must provide the requested documentation within the ROP. Failure to do so may result in the termination of plan coverage or a change to or discontinuance of Advanced Premium Tax Credit (APTC)/Cost Sharing Reduction (CSR).
