Health care reform update

In March 2010, Congress passed and the President signed into law the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA), often referred to as health care reform. Sharp Health Plan will incorporate required health care reform benefit and underwriting changes beginning with renewals for effective dates of October 1, 2010. These changes will affect all employers.

At Sharp Health Plan, we are committed to making the renewal process as simple as possible for you and your customers. That’s why we’ve streamlined our renewal package and provided answers to frequently asked questions about health care reform. As always, you can contact your Sharp Health Plan Account Manager with any additional questions you may have.

Managing your business online

Managing your business is now easier with our new online broker portal, SharpConnect. After registration, you can view your commissions.  And with approval from your affiliated employer groups, you can also verify eligibility, submit enrollment changes, and view premium statements.
