Leslie Pels-Beck 

Leslie Pels-Beck joined Sharp Health Plan as manager of customer service in 1999, after seven years in the health care industry. She moved into the role of chief operations officer in 2001 and was named vice president in 2005.

Leslie has made a career of serving San Diego’s vulnerable populations since graduating from San Diego State University with a master of public health degree. She worked as a program manager and teacher for the developmentally disabled with the Vista Hill Foundation and also served as an administrative analyst for the County of San Diego Department of Health Services.

Leslie is a member of the Board of Directors for the Community Health Improvement Partners and serves on the California Department of Managed Health Care Health Plan Oversight Roundtable. She is a previous board member of the Arc of San Diego Foundation and the Developmental Services Continuum. Additionally, Leslie served on the Professional Advisory Committee for Healthy San Diego.
